What Disc Golfers Are Buying: 4-Week Roundup Ending Jan 19, 2026
What Just Happened at the Top?
Let’s start with the Axiom Pixel. Four weeks ago, it was quietly loitering at #22. Now? It’s parked at #2, apparently having flirted with the buy button on enough screens to rocket up the rankings. According to the latest DiscList weekly sales data, players have loaded up on this point-and-shoot putter with a touch of understable charm. Perhaps it’s the feel, perhaps it’s the name — ‘Pixel’ does sound like something you’d want in your bag if you missed the 80s and couldn’t afford a Tamagotchi.
Then there’s the Millennium Zodiac. Not exactly a household name five minutes ago, it crashed into the Top 5 like someone pressing ‘randomise’ on the disc charts. From #38 to #5 in a month. That’s not climbing — that’s pole vaulting. Distance drivers don’t often worm their way into the hearts (and baskets) of the masses this quickly unless something rather specific is happening. A viral video? Local ace? Sudden shortage of overstable options? Hard to pin down — which makes it more fun to watch.
Top Movers This Month
If the Pixel and Zodiac were surprising, then the trail of climbers following in their wake looked like a rave with all the lights turned off. The Discmania Founder had the biggest jump by far, going from #262 to #35. That’s not just a leap — that’s an entirely different sport. It feels like someone unearthed a stack of Founders in a forgotten warehouse and threw them onto Instagram.
Other glass-slipper candidates include the Axiom Pitch (#215 to #27!) and Discraft’s Zone SS (#96 to #11), both shouting loudly that finesse mids and quirky putters are having their moment. You could call it a shift toward touch discs. Or maybe, more realistically, everyone’s tired of fading out on their second shot and are putting faith in flat hyzer flips.
Discs to Watch Ahead
The Mars Rover, that oddball understable mid from Millennium, snuck up the ranks to #7. Stability: minus three. Use-case: probably science fiction. But there’s clearly something about gliding discs with attitude that’s catching attention lately.
Meanwhile in the back half, the Tempo (#40) and Malita (#46) are tapping lightly at the Top 40 door, while discs like the Berg X took a tumble down to #44 — a victim perhaps of its own cult-like hype finally plateauing.
So, What’s Next?
Keep an eye on whether the Pixel can convince enough putters to stay loyal into February. If not, the Glitch (#3) is quietly humming just beside it — and it smells opportunity. And who knows, perhaps the Founder is planning a further coup. Stranger things have happened. Just ask the Zodiac.
